The Melbourne Stars

Melbourne Stars' 'Super Stars' Road Trip to North East Victoria visited our school on Tuesday in partnership with Mount Beauty Cricket Club.

WBBL Players Sophie REID, Lucy CRIPPS, Kim GRATH and BBL Player Clint HINCHCLIFFE have been crisscrossing the border region over the last three days.

Grades Prep-3 where lucky enough to participate in this event and run through some drills and games with the players.  It caused much excitement and was well received by all.  Sophie Reid made special mention at how involved, well mannered, and inquisitive our students were. Each student was presented with some things to take home.

Thank you Melbourne Stars for visiting our school.  I'm sure you have a few new fans now.

Coco our Koala

This past week Coco has been spending time with Ellen & the Preps.  Coco has been getting a lot of cuddles and has been learning about maths with her classmates through sorting and classifying.

I have heard Coco is being very attentive in class and showing kindness towards her friends and teachers.

Year 5/6 Science Incursion

Last Friday, students from 5/6 had such a great morning with the education team from the Gene Technology Access Centre. We were all really engaged and loved the chance to study bees, flowers and pollen under the microscope while chatting to the scientists.

Artist in Schools Project with Alison Plasto

This week we have welcomed Alison Plasto into our school to work with the Grade 5/6 students in partnership with the Artists in Schools Program. Students have been busily discovering the world of film, pulling apart story lines, looking deep into characters and developing their very own story. We look forward to seeing these being created with Alison next week.
