All School Netball Championships
Congratulations to all the students who played netball last week in the All Schools Netball Championships at the State Netball Centre in Melbourne. We all had a great day, and improved on our netball skills. Both the boys and the girls teams won all their games but one. A big thank you to Sally Montano for not only coaching the girls, but for her help with running our weekly training sessions and assisting with teaching the boys the rules of the game. Thanks to Emily Montano and Jayde Bertrand for being our representing umpires for the day. Also a big thankyou to the parents who supported the day and helped out with the scoring.
Badminton
This Friday 19th August, a selected number of children from Year 5/6 will represent Sacred Heart in the Colac Division Badminton Tournament which will be played at the Colac Show Grounds. The bus will leave Sacred Heart at 9.00 am and return at approximately 1.30 pm. (Competing children may have a lunch order). Children will need to wear their sports uniform, bring along their water bottles, plenty of snacks etc. Badminton racquets etc will be supplied. Information and a Permission request will be sent via PAM for those children selected in the two teams tomorrow. Could parents please give permission a.s.a.p?
Winter Sport
On Friday 26th August our Year 5/6 children will compete against Colac Primary School in the Winter Sports Program. This will take place at Sacred Heart. Children will participate in the following sports - Football, Netball, Hot Shots Tennis and Indoor Games.
On Thursday 8th September our Year 5/6 children will compete against South West Primary School in the Winter Sports Program. This will take place at Sacred Heart. Children will participate in the following sports - Football, Netball, Kickball, Soccer, Down Ball, Basketball and Indoor Games. This will take place between recess and lunch time. Children will need to wear their sports uniform and bring the appropriate gear for their chosen sport e.g. football boots, shorts etc (football jumpers will be supplied)
Football Jumpers/Netball Dresses
All footballers and netballers are reminded to return their football jumpers and dresses a.s.a.p.
Drink Bottles
All children are reminded that they need to bring a drink bottle to sport.
