Name:  Candice Hickey

Role:  Physics/Science/Math Teacher

How long have you been at Macleod College?  This will be my fifth year! 

Favourite book or Movie?  I love book series -'The Stainless Steel Rat' by Harry Harrison. My favourite movie is 'Serenity', which is the TV Movie for the TV series 'Firefly'.

Favourite Food?  Mexican, or Indian!

What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?  I like to spend some time volunteering with the Australian Army Cadets, over at Simpson Barracks, where I am the Commanding Officer of 39 Army Cadet Unit, in Watsonia. At home, I enjoy playing with puppies, paddleboarding, hiking, and visiting hedge mazes.

Favourite inspirational quote?  Nothing can dim the light that shines from within - Maya Angelou

Favourite thing about working at Macleod College?  I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere, the students are always keen for a chat, and are happy to join in on a game of chess or downball!

How long have you been at Macleod College?  7 years in April + a past student (does that count)

Favourite book or Movie?  Movie - Chocolat: Who doesn't want to be Juliet Binoche!

Favourite Food?  If it was my last meal - it has to be Figs - Food of the Gods :) 

What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?  Relaxing on the couch and watching an Italian food show and at the same time the beautiful scenery of Italia... 

Favourite inspirational quote?  Treat others the way you want to be treated - a smile costs nothing! 

Favourite thing about working at Macleod College?  The staff and students. It is a wonderful community to be a part of.
