Success = What?
Motivational Speaker - Arthur Bolkas from Arthur Bolkas Consultancy presented to 155 Year 11 students at Tarneit Senior College on Thursday 14th July. The students were engaged by Arthur’s personal story and applauded his view that “you can’t love others until you love yourself.” Being a multicultural school with many students from a variety of backgrounds, Arthur’s personal background and story was relatable for our students. I hope that all of the students walked away taking something from the presentation – in particular the need to reach out and seek assistance to ensure emotional health.
Uniform
The last few days have been freezing cold and we have noticed uniform slip as a result. Whilst we appreciate the need for student to keep warm in cold weather, it is important that they are wearing correct uniform. We offer multiple options for students to layer and keep warm; long sleeved shirts, jumpers & jackets. Students may also wear plain white or black t-shirts under their school shirts. Hoodies and non TSC jackets are not allowed to be worn by any student, even if a note comes from home. Please ensure that your child has the appropriate uniform. House offices will have a limited supply of uniform that will be loaned to student who are consistently out of uniform. If loaned items are not returned in a clean and undamaged condition the cost of the item will be charged to the student’s accounts. If anyone needs support with uniform, please talk to the Wellbeing Team or Pastoral Care teacher.
