MATHEMATICS PROFESSIONAL LEARNING @ CEPS
Professional Learning - Mathematics Term 3
Our teachers have undertaken a significant amount of Professional Learning in 2022 to upskill and provide engaging lessons for our students.
In Mathematics the Professional Learning has centred around the importance of quality educational texts to inform our planning and giving units greater depth and substance.
This leads to lessons which are challenging, have depth and engage our learners.
The Professional Learning has been hosted by the Mathematics Professional Learning Team and they have engaged academic Peter Sullivan to work further with them later in Term 3.
Our teachers love learning and as you can see below enjoy participating collaboratively when striving to improve their practice.

It is with great excitement we announce that our wonderful Book Fair will return in August this year. Student voice voted for, “Animals Real and Make-believe”. All children at CEPS had a choice of topics, including the CBCA theme, “Dreaming with your eyes open”.
We all know that animals can be found in both fiction and non-fiction books. It’s a great theme and we look forward to seeing the imagination and creativity on display at our themed dress up day.
Our CEPS Grade Six Library Monitors: Hudson, William, Nicole, Ivie, Rehatt, Anastasia, Laura and our two Grade Five helpers, Taylah and Sophie are all organising competitions and creating posters based on our theme.
Book Week has always been one of the yearly highlights at CEPS. We all value books and our school library support every student’s love of reading.
Grandparents and Special Friend’s Day has been cancelled due to the continued rise in COVID numbers.
Further information about Book Week and the Book Fair will follow in July.
Happy holiday reading!
