Friend-o-Leaders

We are launching a peer mentorship model next week! A group of Year 5 students will support the younger students in their friendships at lunch time. These students will be wearing green vests and lanyards and will be known as Friend-o-Leaders!

Our Friend-o-Leaders are experts in Friendology and will be supporting other students with the core concepts:

  • The 4 Friendship Facts
  • The Friend-o-Meter
  • Putting out Friendship Fires
  • Using Quick Comebacks to respond to Mean-on-Purpose behaviour

Our Friend-o-Leaders are looking forward to getting out in the yard and helping children to put out their friendship fires.

Lunchtime Clubs

Lunchtime clubs continue to be popular at Great Ryrie! Last week, Coding Club for Years 5 and 6 commenced. Interested students will engage in computer science and gain a practical understanding of basic coding.
