Refugee Education Support Program

Great Ryrie Primary School was lucky enough to have some staff from 'The Human Development Workshop' come out and work with some of our Year 5/6 Refugee students on developing team work skills and a belief in themselves over the last 8 weeks.  The culmination was a day where the older students set up and ran activities for some Year 2 students.

Here is an account of what happened from two of our students; Naomi and Esther.

Last week on Friday a group of year 6's had a blast with the year 2’s doing an obstacle course! The Year 6’s worked together to make the obstacles ourselves. It was a great time for us to practice our leadership skills and public speaking voices. The year 2's were wonderfully behaved and we all had so much fun!
