BOOK CLUB

Book Club Issue 5 has been distributed to the classes; all orders and payment due online via LOOP by 4pm WEDNESDAY 27th July.

The order will then be processed and delivery should take 5 – 7 days; the orders will then be distributed to the children.

On display outside the Library are the books nominated by the CHILDREN’S BOOK COUNCIL OF AUSTRALIA under the categories:

YOUNGER READERS (Primary Fiction)

EARLY CHILDHOOD

PICTURE BOOKS (the Illustrator is the winner)

EVE POWNALL AWARD FOR INFORMATION BOOKS (Primary Non Fiction)

Book Week is from the 20th – 26th August and the theme is:-

Dreaming with eyes open….

“This theme is about stepping into your own story, dreaming with eyes open…learning from friends who help you on your way; listening to Country as the first story tellers.

The teachers will be able to share the books with the children over the next month; I wonder if they will be able to predict the winners in each category?

25th July to 21st of August I will be away on leave. 

The Library will still be open at Lunchtime for the Quiet Club from 1 – 1:25pm from Monday to Thursday.

Monday - Foundation

Tuesday - Grades 1 & 2

Wednesday – Grades 3 &4

Thursday – Grades 5 & 6

I am very excited as I will be spending time with my family, especially to see how much my granddaughter has grown in the last three years, she is coming all the way from England.
