NEW - Swimming Day at Tatura Pool Monday 13th December

What you need to know:

Students to come in their bathers with school sports clothes over the top. Bring school bag (easier to carry) with a swimming bag inside AND don't forget your hat!

Bring lots of food and drink.

Apply sunscreen before leaving home (we will have sunscreen pump packs also).

Students can be picked up from the pool but no parent inside the pool grounds sorry

A bus will be booked for the return trip to school if the weather looks hot

A must know for every family:

All students must wear either a rashy or t-shirt at all times while at the pool, including when swimming. No top = no swim.

Session One: 10am to 11:30am for Foundation to Year 2

A chance to have some fun at the pool in a safe and controlled environment. We will have some staff in the water to support students. The shallow pool will also be available for students who are not confident in water.

Important pick up information: Students can be picked up by a parent or caregiver from outside the pool grounds at 11:35am if you would like your child to go home and rest up!

Session Two: 11:45am to 2pm for Year 3 to Year 6

More fun in the pool. Some short swimming races for those students who would like to race (not compulsory).

Important pick up information: Students can be picked up by a parent or caregiver from outside the pool grounds at 2pm if you would like your child to go home and rest up!

Important COVID Information: To maintain our COVID Safe School Plan, only Aquamoves and SHS staff will be able to be at the pool with the students, with parents and caregivers unable to join us in the pool grounds. See pick up details if you would like to pick up your child at the conclusion of the session.

NEW - 5/6 Update

SILLY SEASON HAS HIT

The Year 5 and Six children have been celebrating the Advent Season and our learning with a PJ Day, Silly Socks and SuperHero/Movie Star dress up days.  As you can see from some of our photos we look amazing!  All this fun combined with us making Advent calendars using origami skills used in art.  The end results were amazing and we hope the Advent Season is being counted down in style and fun as we get ready to celebrate Jesus' birthday.

YEAR FIVE LEADERSHIP DAY

The children in Year Five spent the day exploring the qualities and dispositions of a good leader, as they get ready to become our student leaders in 2022.  We heard from Ms Hindson about her leadership experience and the expectations for student leadership. We wrote our own role description and set up a PBIS Matrix to help us understand and navigate our leadership duties.  We played some trust games that took us out of our comfort zone and we were encouraged to speak up using a 'soap box'!

We are ready to be 2022 student leaders and are ready to wear our leadership tops with pride.

RUBIK'S CUBE CHALLENGE

Thanks to Sam Carbone and Harry Cameron for organising and leading the Rubik's Cube Challenge for our children in Years 3 to 6.

The overall champions for Year 5 and 6 were Aryan Shetty and Kane Olshen.  Runners up included Ebony Worm, Sidney Nihill and Cameron Dundon.  The Year 3 and 4 winners are yet to be announced.

From all of us in the Year Five and Six team we say Buon Natale e un Felice e Prospero Anno Nuovo.

Sun Protection Policy
