Junior Class - Mrs Creek

We have entered December and are thinking towards celebrations. Home and family celebrations soon to come, and celebrations for the students in my class who have transitioned through their first year of schooling. I look back at all their achievements and forward to new beginnings and friendships yet to happen. Our shared story this week is titled ‘No Queen Today’. A rather funny story about a young queen, who tries to do other things around the palace than royal duties. But as soon as the townsfolk put up a sign requesting a king to be found, she changes her mind. Handwriting books are being completed, and spelling word games sorted. Number work involving addition and subtraction, is also a key focus.

Middle Class - Miss Williams

We have had another mixed up week, this week with some children being at school and some not. We have continued to work on creating information reports and from what I have seen in the classroom is that we are going to be getting some fabulous information reports once good copies and models to go with them are completed. In Maths we have been working on completing some Christmas maths activities and have been code cracking to solve some Christmas jokes. In Reading we are working on independent reading, as well as identifying parts of information texts with our big book ‘Cats’.
