Keeping ourselves safe during a global pandemic is very important. We are guided by health advice which recommends for all (and mandates for some) that we wear face masks.

At school, being in a primary setting, our students in Years 3-6 must wear a face mask unless an exemption applies. Yet, over the last week and a bit, we have supplied (Meagan estimates) over 300 disposable masks to students who have forgotten to supply their own.

Disposable masks come at an environmental (and financial) cost. Where it is appropriate, we ask that reusable masks are considered but more importantly, ensure that additional masks are asked for from the office for when it is really needed. In brief, please remind your child, if they wear a mask, to take it to school. 

Let’s keep ourselves as safe as possible and do our bit to look after the environment at the same time!
