Prayer & Acknowledgment
Grandparents Prayer
This year's Theme for World Grandparents Day and the Elderly, chosen by Pope Francis is:
'In old age they will still bear fruit' (PS 92:15)
Please see below a video made to celebrate World Grandparents and the Elderly Day with a song and Photo's of Grandparents from Years 3/4 Dainton, Howley and Maskell.
The Holy Father said, “I have chosen this theme for the Second World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, to be held on July 24th, 2022, to promote dialogue among the generations especially between grandparents and grandchildren. It is very important to bring together the wisdom of the elderly and the enthusiasm of the young.
The encounter between grandparents and grandchildren is key, especially in this moment of economic and social crisis that humanity is undergoing.
We pray for all our school community who may be at home unwell. We continue to pray for peace in our world and those who may be homeless and cold during the winter months.
Keep In Your Prayers and Thoughts…
All our Priests, seminarians and deacons.
Friends or family who have passed away this year.
Our friends and family who are unwell at the moment.
All our families and students, in the midst of the ongoing pandemic and isolation time at home, keep them safe and healthy.
Our teachers as they guide our children during this pandemic.
“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
Matthew 21:22
