Monash SDS are very lucky to be working with The Song Room Kaleidoscope Program as part of the Positive Start 2022 Initiative with The Department of Education. 

The program supports students to discover ways to connect their learning experiences to building social and emotional skills. 

Maribel, our wonderful teaching artist, is vision impaired and brings her guide dog, Dindi, with her to our classes.  

Throughout the weekly sessions, which are on Wednesdays for all of Term 3, the students are learning skills in listening, communication, performance and creative expression. 

Maribel uses a variety of songs and percussion instruments and the students are learning to put together the components required to develop a new song. 

Our amazing students are really ‘getting into the groove’ dancing, singing, playing instruments and expressing themselves and having so much FUN!!
