Principal's Report

“Together we can do great things” – Mother Teresa

I start my Principal report with a lovely school council photograph from our last meeting. We are so incredibly lucky to have such a great group of parents who give up their time to give invaluable input into our school. One parent was missing from the photo as we have been unable to get a time when we are all together!

Car Park

A huge thank you for all your patience as we put in essential safety measures this week in our car park to keep everyone safe. It has only taken a couple of extra minutes to get everyone safely into school and picked up from school. Just a couple of reminders:

  • Please adhere to the speed limit in school and drive slowly when you arrive and when you leave
  • Please don’t use the parent allocated spaces in the middle to cut through to get to a car space at the front of the school
  • Please remember that the drop off spaces are just for dropping off. You can only be five minutes maximum. If you need to spend more time in school then you can park outside or park in the allocated parent parks in the middle.

Capital Works Update

On a beautiful sunny afternoon Sandra and I got to stand on the concrete floor of our new building! Very exciting. Although it doesn’t look like much there has been a lot of work done to get to this part. There will be one more pour of concrete soon and then the whole footprint of the building will be finished.

COVID update

It is the department’s expectation that, through to the end of winter, students aged 8 and over and staff will wear masks when in class, except where removing a mask is necessary for clear communication or when a particular activity requires the removal of a mask. As we previously had an exemption for our students and staff this remains in place. Staff and parents onsite are expected to wear masks inside as this remains a safety measure to avoid Covid and flu.

Have a wonderful weekend and as always please reach out with any questions or concerns.
