End of Term Two

Tomorrow is the last day of Term 2! Time really does fly when you are having fun. We have had an action packed term  this last term with lots of learning, activities and special events taking place.

A reminder that all students will be dismissed at 2.20pm tomorrow, which means that the bus will arrive at the student drop off points, one hour earlier than usual.

Students are invited to come dressed in the PJ's and/or Oodies tomorrow but please ensure they have proper outdoor footwear for Kelly Sports and outdoor play.

We are having a special lunch of spaghetti bolognaise for our students. If anyone does not want eat some of Miss Duffy's delicious spaghetti (made with the secret ingredient of LOVE) please bring along your lunch as normal.

Thank you to our wonderful students, staff, parents and community for making Term 2 such a wonderful term.

Mid Year Reports

A reminder that student reports will be send home today in paper format. The reports will also be available in electronic format via uEducateUs from tomorrow morning.

After reading their child/ren's report, parents and caregivers are welcome to contact the relevant teachers to make an appointment for a parent teacher interview. Times are available both within and outside school hours in the first two weeks of Term 3. We are also able to offer online meetings if this is more suitable to parents.

Tree Planting at Raywood Station

On Tuesday our students walked down to the soon to be opened Raywood Railway Station to check out the progress and to plant trees. In fact, we walked down twice- the first time to discover that the trees were still in transit. We headed back after recess to do our planting. Staff and students were very interested in how much progress had been made since our last visit and are all looking forward to the community opening on Sunday July 17th- we hope to see many of our families there.

Our students did a fantastic job planting lots of small plants in the main garden bed and were even treated with a gift bag from PTV for their efforts.

Food Hampers for Families

This week we have been very fortunate to have been "gifted" two food hampers for each of our familes. We have been given a Breakfast Hamper for each family from the School's Breakfast Club program which is ran by Foodshare. The second hamper was from the East Loddon Foodbank and contained lots of snacks and goodies. Both packs are wonderful pantry additions to help keep those hungry school holidaying kiddies fed. We are so very grateful for these packs and thank all of those community organisations for their generosity.

School Council News

On Monday evening our school council met.  Council discussed solar panel provisions for our school as our existing panels need to be decommissioned, no decision with regards replacement has yet been made as we require further information. We also took the time out to look at our new website and discuss the role that we hope it will play in securing future families to tour and enrol at our school. A reminder that our new look website can be found at https://www.raywoodps.vic.edu.au/
