Resource Centre

A large collection of new books is now on display for borrowing in the Resource Centre as we move toward the end of Term 2 holidays. This is a great time to stock up on your reading material to enjoy through the term break with a wide range of genres and authors from which to choose.

Another round of notices has been sent out this week via E-mail to those students who have not yet returned overdue books. If those books are not returned before the holidays then those students will receive an invoice for the cost of the books in Term 3. I wish to thank those students who have responded to the last reminder notices and returned their books or contacted Resource Centre Staff to resolve any issues.

The Resource Centre is participating in NAIDOC Week with a display of fiction and nonfiction books by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors. This display will be extended into Term 3 for the College Community to view and enjoy.

“Reading is like thinking, like praying, like talking to a friend, like expressing your ideas, like listening to other people’s ideas, like listening to music, like looking at the view, like taking a walk on the beach”. Roberto Bolano (novelist, short-story writer, poet and essayist).
