Middle Years Leaders Food Drive for Local Community Families in Need

After serving at FareShare Food Charity during City Cite, some of our students were motivated to help local families in need. The Middle Years Leaders, led by Ruby Warburton (9.19), were great drivers in the year level charity food drive.

We donated three boxes of non-perishable food, hygiene and / or essential household items on Thursday, 2 June to CIRE Chirnside Park Community Hub at 33 Kimberley Drive, Chirnside Park. The items will mainly be distributed through their community pantry, of which our Middle Years Leaders had pleasure topping up so that people can help themselves, as well as hampers and ingredients for lunches they provide. Great job TEAM!

Ruby shared this relevant verse with the year level in promotion of the event,

Remember the words of the Lord Jesus: You will have a greater blessing when you give than when you receive. Acts 20:35

A Serve of Something Sweet

On Thursday, 9 June the Year 9 Home Group teachers served their students hot chocolate and marshmallows before school to finish the week and to celebrate exam survival!  Great job Year 9s, we’re proud of you!

Thanks to the all-star Home Group teachers Mr Goode, Mrs Jetten, Miss Zhong and to Mrs Roberts from Food Studies, for their help.
