Janet Stuart Bursary Celebration

The Sacré Cœur Alumnae Association has supported almost seventy students with Janet Stuart Bursaries (JSB) since the fund began in 1952. Over the past few years the Alumnae Association undertook a major regulatory review of the JSB.

On Sunday 20 March 2022 many Alumnae came together with members of the school community to celebrate the JSB and to witness the handing over of the funds to the 

Sacré Cœur Foundation to be managed as part of the newly merged Kathleen McCarthy-Janet Stuart Bursary Fund. 

We were joined by many members of Kathleen McCarthy’s family in recognition of their generosity and by the family and friends of Patricia Thomas, an alumna who has left an extremely generous bequest for bursaries.
