The Supreme Court of Victoria issued a press release on 10 November 2021 heralding the appointment of 16 new Senior Counsels. Our congratulations to  Siobhán Ryan (1981) who was included in these appointments.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria Anne Ferguson noted:

Our newest Silks come from a range of backgrounds and areas of practice, and are highly regarded advocates and leaders in their fields, the Chief Justice said.

This year also marks the first time in Victoria’s history that more women than men have been appointed Senior Counsel. This is a significant milestone, which reflects some of the positive changes happening across the broader legal profession.

Women’s Inter-School Golf Challenge Cup 2022

The aim of the Women's Inter-School Golf Challenge Cup is to unite past female students of Victorian Independent Schools.

This year the 93rd event was  held on Monday 21 March 2022 at the Commonwealth Golf Club and Team Sacré Cœur was proudly represented by Mae Louise McGuinness (Banting), Marg Anderson (Hoy), Gen Rawling (Brew) and Rosemary Kelly

Rosemary reports:

It was a hot morning for golf, but the course was in great condition, and it was most enjoyable as was the lunch that followed with golfers representing 28 other schools.

There was a raffle and a cake / preserves stall on the day raising funds for McAuley House.

For the record, in the golf Clarendon won (they won in 2021 too), followed by Presentation Convent Windsor, and Clyde came third.
