BE INVOLVED, BE CONNECTED

I AM GRATEFUL FOR...

Our parent’s acknowledgement of how hard our teachers work. This week we had the strategic development subcommittee, and we always start these meetings by sharing something we are grateful for. I wanted to take a moment to share a gratitude from one of our parents as I think it really highlights the great work our teachers are all doing. She was grateful that "our local school is a school that I would travel any amount of distance for my children to attend" – and I think this is a very special reflection on our school.

ROSEMARY'S RETIREMENT

A big thank you to Rosemary Cosentino for all her work leading our school through the last four years. You will be missed and we thank you for all the work you have done leading our school!

STUDENT REPORTS

You will be receiving your child’s report via Compass next Thursday 23rd of June. Please take some time to read this with your child and celebrate their successes over this year. Our reports are a snapshot of your child’s learning journey, and they do not cover all the amazing things that your child has achieved, but they are a great opportunity to reflect on the year together.

SPECIAL END OF TERM BREAKFAST CLUB

Next Thursday 23rd of June, we have a special end of term breakfast club running at 8:30 from the gym. Now winter has arrived, Thursday's the Breakfast Club will also be serving hot chocolate!

We encourage as many families to come along, have something nice to eat, and celebrate the end of term. We hope to see you there!

Also a big thank you to Steph, and all our Breakfast Club volunteers for their hard work!

ABSENCE NOTIFICATION LETTERS

We ask all families to please go into their Compass app and list the reason for any absences that their children have had this year. We will soon be sending out letters asking for explanations for any absences that were not correctly entered into Compass. It is a requirement from the government that we make sure that explanations are provided for any student absence, so please go in to Compass now to check this.

TEAM SPORTS 4 ALL

Team Sports 4 All assists families who are experiencing financial and/or social hardship and as a result are unable to afford to have their children involved in community team sport. After meeting the family TS4A arranges the registration into the chosen sport and pays for the fees and uniform costs but more importantly gives ongoing support via our volunteer sports mentors to encourage long term participation in sport. They assist children aged 5-18yrs and see first hand how community connection via sport can improve young people and their families lives. They are now able to assist families in Port Phillip but need your help to grow their volunteer team. If the cause resonates with you or someone you know then they would love to hear from you. Please see the flyer for further details.
