What is the subject about?
Unit 1&2 Product Design and Technology
Product design looks to improve quality of life by designing creative, innovative and sustainable products. We look at visual appeal and functionality.
For VCE Product Design and Technology students assume the role of a designer-maker. In adopting this role, they develop and apply knowledge of resources, materials and designs.
Students also consider sustainability issues and the course informs sustainable behaviours and develops technical skills enabling students to present multiple solutions to everyday life situations.

- Analyse practices of designers that address sustainability issues
- Use materials, tools and processes to assemble your own design.
- Evaluate key processes in relation to the broader textiles industry and own practice
