Unit 1 will see you learn some of the ways humans understand and relate to nature through experiences of outdoor environments. You explore the ways nature is understood and perceived and develop and understanding of the range of motivations for interacting with outdoor environments. You will also discover factors that affect people’s access to outdoor experiences.
In Unit 2 you will learn about the characteristics of different environments and different ways of understanding them, as well as the ways humans have on outdoor environments.
Throughout this course you will participate in outdoor experiences to develop practical skills and knowledge to help you live sustainably in outdoor environments and connect the theoretical course content with the real world.
