Journeying Together in Christ
Welcome to the first newsletter for Term Three. The term has started well, other than a steady recording of sickness across all year levels. Please refer to PAM regarding any COVID updates or information.
We finished last term with Mass followed by a BBQ. Fr Jackson celebrated our first whole school Mass for a very long time in the stadium. This term we look forward to two whole school Masses (one at St. Brendan's) and unit Masses.
The BBQ was organised by our wonderful parents. We used the new kitchen area to serve and cooked in front of the auditorium. It was a a fitting finish to the school term.
School Fees
Please address this if you have not paid fees this year. School fees help operate the school along with Federal funding. We are invoiced by Catholic Education Sandhurst regardless of the percentage of fees we have collected. Student enrolments determine our budget and staffing.
Please contact the office if you need to start a direct debit or to communicate your own plan. Alternatively, you can deposit online.
Uniform Policy - The Length of Hair
We have seen the introduction of new hairstyles for many years. A reminder that if your child's hair is shoulder length or longer it must be in a pony tail or tied back to an acceptable standard.
Staffing News
We welcome Marcus Ruggi (5 days) and Robyn Battista (3 days) to St. Luke's as Learning Support Officers. Robyn has been with us on a casual basis in recent times and will continue her role Tuesday - Thursday. Marcus comes to us from Gowrie Street Primary. He will begin in early August.
Emergency Drill
We performed a 'known' fire drill on Wednesday. This allowed us to monitor traffic flow from the new building. The next one will be unannounced.

"It's amazing, bright, beautiful and the best!!!"
"I love how you used our old lockers"
"I loved it too much"
"It's blown my mind"
Book Week 2022
This term Book Week will take place the week of 20th to 26th August. This year’s theme is ‘Dream with Eyes Wide Open’. The school will hold its book parade on Wednesday 24th August at 9:15. More details will be given closer to the date. We can’t wait to see all the fabulous costumes and ideas that both students and teachers come up with.
(Nicole Keenan)
We pray for Chelsea Monk and her family. They buried her grandmother during the week.
I will be away later next week for my father-in-laws funeral. Tony McDonald will return on Monday. While I am on leave he will step in as Principal.
We keep Nicole Keenan and family in our prayers.
