Young Women in Trades & Tech Expo

On the 11th May, a group of highly motivate Year 9-11 students attended the ‘2023 Young Women in Trades & Tech Expo’, hosted by the Department of Education and Training. During this event, female students were introduced and encouraged to explore potential career and study options that are historically male dominated. Those who attended the expo participated in a variety of practical learning experiences, technology displays, information sessions and panel discussions. Ultimately, this event provided our students a unique opportunity to engage and network with training providers and industry leaders (e.g. Ford Motors, Amazon, Dulux, Reece) to explore information about how they can peruse exciting career opportunities in fields such as Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, Automotive, Aviation, Transport and Logistics, Horticulture and much more.
