ANZAC Day 2023

On Wednesday the 27th April, we had a special assembly to commemorate ANZAC Day. Our grade 5 students led the service and spoke about the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who lost their lives in World War 1.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning.

We will remember them.

We listened to the Last Post followed by a minute’s silence. Two students from every class  came up to lay a wreath, and then the whole school sang the national anthem.
