Principal's Report
We have had a wonderful start to Term 2. It has been great having everyone back and to begin what will be another busy term.
The Oval
Things are moving along nicely. The drainage is completed, and the irrigation is not far off. This week Chris (our landscaper) is laser levelling the oval, ready for the turf to be delivered in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, any rain we get from now on will cause delays!
Danielle Court
If heading out of the back gate and walking down Danielle Court I ask that all students and families use the footpath rather than walk down the middle of the road. There are also clearly labelled no parking signs in Danielle Court. This is not a pickup zone for parents. The best place to pick up is out the front of the school where we have numerous staff members running the pickup zone. All students are picked up within 15 minutes of school finishing.
Sibling Enrolment
It is that time of year again where I ask for parents who are ready to enrol a brother or sister to please come and get an enrolment pack from the office. Our recent tours have been well attended. If you know anyone who would like a tour, please have them contact the office for tour dates and times. All enrolment forms are due 28th July, 2023.
Student Free Day
There will be a student free day on June 13th. This is the day after the King’s Birthday public holiday. Our staff will be planning for the coming term. Team Kids will be available this day for care should any families require this. The two other curriculum days we have left to utilise this year will be confirmed at a later date.
Cross Country
Congratulations to all students who ran in the LPS cross country today and a big thank you to Mr Smith for the organization of this event. Like most things to do with school events, we can’t do it without our loyal band of volunteer parents. Thanks for helping make this another successful event!
Grade 4 Camp
All the best to all Year 4 students, teachers and parents who are headed to Golden Valley Lodge (Flinders) for a jam packed 3 days of fun and activities. We hope the weather is kind!
Have a great fortnight,
Mr Moorhouse
