Instrumental Music  Ensemble Series

In Week 5 of Term 2 there were many performances run at lunchtimes in the performance centre. I thought it was heaps of fun, and I loved hearing my friends play. It was a nice medium between playing in practice or rehearsals and playing in the big end of year concerts, which helped bridge the gap between them and make it less scary. I was really surprised at how many people turned up to the one on Thursday. The crowd was so big it was almost impossible to get down from the seats to the stage, which was kind of wild. 

A lot of my friends who don’t do music with the school told me afterwards that they were really surprised at the standard of many of the ensembles, so I felt really proud that we could give them a little performance. It was really good to hear such a wide range of musical styles, and to get an insight into all the different ensembles.
