Presentation Skills Workshop at the University of Melbourne

On Thursday, 1 June, VCE Extended Investigation and Year 10 Critical Thinking and Research students attended the Presentation Skills workshop at the University of Melbourne, which was organised by the Inquiry Learning Domain to help the students prepare for their oral examinations. 

The 90-minute workshop covered the following topics: 

• structuring an oral presentation
• engaging an audience
• incorporating appropriate visuals
• using scientific language
• improving non-verbal communication 

In addition, students worked in groups to discuss some scenarios and brainstorm ideas.
