Year 12 VCE VM

Over the last two terms, Year 12 VCE-VM students have been planning and designing a Sensory Garden on our school premises for students, staff and the public to go to, to destress and calm down when they are feeling overwhelmed.  In our Sensory Garden we have been working on creating two murals that include Indigenous symbols and the creator, Bunjil, because we wanted to incorporate the local history of our area. We researched local Indigenous artists to help with the creation of the murals and contacted Cora Lucy, who helped us decide on what to paint. We have learnt about the different symbols and the meanings behind them. We look forward to completing and mounting the murals in our garden and to opening up the finished project next term!  Keep an eye out on the newsletter and on our social media page for updates.
