SIRC

The Student Interact Representative Council (SIRC) has been performing well during Term 2 and has been working collaboratively every week. Currently, SIRC members from Years 7-10, as well as the School Captains and Vice-Captains, are organising an event to be held at school this term. The event aims to raise awareness about Mental Health and will include a Free Dress Day on the Tuesday of the last week of Term 2.  Students are encouraged to wear anything blue, as we are raising funds to donate to the organisation called Beyond Blue.  SIRC members are still working on this event and will have further plans for this day.

In addition to the Mental Health event, SIRC members have been actively participating in organising and running the Breakfast Club every Tuesday and Thursday morning before school.  All students and staff are welcome to visit the club up in the PAC and enjoy some free food to start their day on a good note!

HOLY FOODS DRIVE

On Wednesday 17th May, three of our Year 9 SIRC representatives – Clover, Ella and James - helped out at the Holy Fools Food Drive. Held at Melba Park Lilydale, this event helps people in need, providing lunch and a social afternoon.  We all helped to set up lunch and serve food. It was a good experience being able to talk to some people there and understand how much this small community event meant to them. For some people the social aspect was what helped most, but for others it was having a warm meal.   Thank you to Rotary for giving us the opportunity to support the food drive and have a good day!

BREAKFAST CLUB

SIRC students Amelia, Laura and Ash recently had some help from Year 8 students  as well as Mr Collins, while making breakfast!  Breakfast Club is run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings by the SIRC students at no cost - everyone is always welcome!
