Year 7

Earlier in May, the Year 7's received a presentation from the Police Youth Liaison Officer, Peter Williams on Cyber Safety.

Peter outlined topics including:

- Young people protecting themselves online from predators (by not sharing information)

- Online user responsibilities and how material is traceable, even on Snapchat and TikTok

- Possession and distribution of inappropriate material

- The impacts of bullying (including Brodie's Law)

- Who to go to for support with online concerns

In other Year 7 news, a new initiative of an “Inspiration Board” has commenced in the corridor entrance. Students are signing up to provide an inspirational quote or thought for the day. So far we’ve had, "be a daffodil in a field of poppies" and “mistakes make you human”.  It’s been wonderful to see students taking this leadership opportunity.
