Performing Arts

What an amazing week I've had appreciating the talents we have here at ACPS! It was so good for performers and audience members to witness the breadth and depth of our students in their dance, drama and music skills. We had students perform who receive formal tuition and others who have observed their parents at home, learnt from 'trial and error' to match tunes they know and others who just had a go on the day! We also had some great exploration inside a piano and talked about how instruments make sounds.

Thank you parents for your support to send in videos and music and a BIG thank you to the students for your bravery, creativity, positive feedback and your enthusiasm both as performers and audience members. It was the type of encouraging environment I had hoped for and you didn't disappoint! 

CHOIR - They nailed it! We went to Bupa Aged Care Village in Donvale to share our joy of singing on Thursday and the students performed 4 songs with energy, smiles and excellent manners. A big thank you to parents Rach, Mel, Rick, Sarah, Dave and Hayley for helping drive the students and Mr Webber and Angela for supporting the students too. The residents presented some songs back to us which was a lovely surprise and we received really grateful feedback from the General Manager and Activities Coordinator afterwards.
