Performing Arts News

In Performing Arts, students have been working hard to rehearse their Twilight School songs in anticipation of performing for you all in 2 weeks time.

Foundation will be singing ‘Hey Everybody’, Year 1/2: ‘Sailing’, Year 3/4: ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ and Year 5/6: ‘The Dum Dum Song’ - you will have to wait and see that one!!

It would be fantastic for families to all come to watch these performance as students love to sing in front of an audience. We will also have our junior and senior choirs perform, as well as our school band, which now has some new members as our previous Years 6s have now moved on to high school.

This year, there is a Dance Team who will be performing at the fabulous State School Spectacular at the end of Term 3. They have been working hard to learn the choreography for 8 different songs and have been having fun while getting fit!

Students have also been introduced to the ‘Treble Cat Lite’ app, which teaches them to read basic music notation on the treble clef. This application is free so if you wish to get it for your child to use at home, you can. It is available on both android and iOS platforms.
