Middle Year's Animal Writing Expo

Friday, 11th November

Inspired by reading the book Wandi, written by Favel Parrett, middle years students became engaged in a research, writing and publishing exercise. 

The task was to build a fact capsule about their chosen animal. A wide variety of animals were chosen with a few investigating the dingo, because of the book Wandi which is written about the life of a dingo called Wandi. 

Students researched using books, laptops and ipads. They then chose facts to be included in their fact capsule. To complement their capsule students used clay to make a model of their animal. 

As this was a publishing exercise we also wanted an audience.   A big thank you to parents, grand parents , carers and students from across the school who came to share in the excitement of the Expo.
