What is VET - What is the new VCE VM?

Vocational (relating to occupation or employment) Education Training - VET or VETis (VET in schools)VET is hands on education. It is ideal for students who are completing their VCE VM and want to gain practical skills in specific industries or trades.

Length: VET Certificates generally take two years to complete over the school year. There are a few that can be completed in a year.

Prerequisites: For VETis Certificates - you must be enrolled as a full time student

Study Type: You study on campus where you will experience what it's like after school while also completing your school core subjects: English, Maths, Personal Development Skills and Personal Development Skills

What you will get: When you complete your VETis you are awarded a nationally recognised Certificate qualification. VET Certificates are completed together with your VCE / VM giving you different perspectives and types of learning. The practical focus of the Certificates mean you can learn the skills and gain the knowledge needed to start your career before you start full time TAFE / Uni study when you finish school.
