NEWS & ADMINISTRATION

Mrs Caroline Galea

Dear Parents,

It's hard to believe that we are already in November. Last week, our Year 5 and 6 children showed the community how talented they were through their production, Pirates vs Mermaids.  It was a great production, which I am sure the children will remember for a long time to come.  Congratulations to the staff and students for a wonderful evening.

A special thank you goes to Maria Buttifant for the effort that went into delivering three separate productions and giving up all her lunch times for rehearsals.  I would also like to thank all the parents that gave up their time to help Maria prepare for the production. Without our community's support, we would not be able to put on such wonderful evenings.

Circular Driveway

Thank you to all of our parents that have been using the circular driveway properly. On occasion, we still have drivers who leave their car to collect children.  Please do not get out of your car, if your car is in the queue in the circular driveway. This prevents everyone else from being able to move forward.

Covid

There have been a number of warnings of late about the expected rise of covid in Victoria throughout November. With the weather as cold as it has been, it really doesn't surprise me that it would be on the increase again.  Last week, we sent out the last batch of Rapid Antigen Tests.  If you or your child show any cold like symptoms, please test for covid.

If you need a box of tests, please ask at the school office.

Sacraments for 2023

We now have the Sacramental dates for 2023.  Please put these in your diary.

Reconciliation---March 1st    7pm        (Year 4 children)

Confirmation---- April 30th     10 am     (Year 6 children )

Eucharist   --------June 18th     10am      (Year 4 children)

Earlier this term, we were toying with the idea of having both the Year 5 and 6 children receive confirmation together.  However, due to the numbers and how crowded this would have been, it has been decided that only the Year 6 children, along with the Catechist children, will be making their Confirmation in 2023.
