SUBJECT SELECTION
With Subject Selection fast approaching for students, be inspired by the article listed below for Women in STEM. Over the coming weeks, Ms Bell will be visiting Year 10 classes to present information and resources to assist students to make informed decisions around VCE selection of subjects. Both parents/guardians and Homeroom Teachers will be signing off on web preferences in Term 3. Any parent and student wishing to make an appointment with the careers area can do so via email to Ms Bell. Any student that requires assistance with VO subject choices including VET options are also encouraged to see the careers team if required.

YEAR 10 AND 11 - NURSING AS A CAREERS DAY (NACD)
Thursday June 6 the College took part in the annual NACD. Students were exposed to a day in the life of a University Nursing student. The classroom was flipped and then followed by a tutorial exercise with practical components.

PARTICIPATION IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Year 12 students, Joseph Alfred and Sarah Levey are both prime examples of students who appreciate the benefits of participation in extracurricular activities. Both students recently attended the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) preparatory course in Mildura.

TRADES AT RIVERSIDE TRADE TRAINING CENTRE
Trades at Riverside Trade Training Centre (Trades@RTTC) were held on Friday June 7 at St Joseph’s College Mercy Campus. Run parallel with the Trades Day being offered with Deakin Trade Training Centre (TTC), 18 of our students attended Deakin to get hands-on in the fields of building and construction, electrical, furniture making, automotive and engineering.
