The mercury read 8 degrees in St Arnaud, but the wind made it feel like 3 degrees. But neither the weather, nor the long bus ride with a 5:00am could deter our St Joseph’s boys and girls. Even though we competed against some very strong schools across the region, we came runners up in the 13 boys & girls category. Congratulations to Meg Neagle, Lily Neagle, Meric Kiran, Tyler Harris, Will Kelly and Mia Dunbar in qualifying for State on the 10th October. Meg Neagle also crossed the line in 1st place in the 13 girls division.

NETBALL

On June 3, two St Joseph’s College Year 8 Netball teams took part in the Sunraysia Interschool Netball Tournament at Mansel Reserve. Though the weather was not on our side with it only reaching 14 degrees for the day and our marquees flying away in the strong winds, the day was very enjoyable. Both of our Year 8 teams were undefeated and won most of their games by many goals. The College's division 1 side will now progress to the next stage of netball in Echuca. We wish them the very best of luck!
