2019 WINTER APPEAL

Tonight around 200 people in Mildura will sleep rough. There are currently over 105,000 people living homeless in Australia and of those people 27% are under 18.  Around 20% are homeless due to domestic and family violence.  Imagine what it is like to spend one night roughing it on the streets with little in one’s belly.

With winter upon us, the College has begun to raise awareness of the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. Our Mercy Action Groups have set their sights on donating 1,000 items to our local St Vincent de Paul. We can achieve this together if every staff member and student donate just one item each. We need warm clothing, blankets, hygiene goods and non-perishable food items. Please give generously and take all donations to either of our school libraries.

YEAR 12 RETREAT

Each year, Religious Education staff and Year 12 students spend the final week of Term Two in Anglesea at Camp Wilkin. The week’s program will be led by Fr Ray Sanchez and include large and small group sessions allowing students the opportunity to further develop their own faith and personal journeys.

Arrangements are well under way for what will be a great week for our Year 12 students to spend together in an atmosphere of reflection and community activity. The Retreat is one of the most significant events in the Year 12 experience, a treasured time remembered fondly for years to come. We wish all our Year 12 students a wonderful break from their formal studies with many opportunities to reflect, face challenges and make changes where necessary.
