MERCY CAMPUS LIBRARY RESOURCE CENTRE OFFICIAL OPENING
We had the great pleasure of opening The Mercy Campus Library Resource Centre on Monday June 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mercy Campus staff and students have had the Resource Centre on their collective wish-list for many years. Students can now more easily borrow books and use other library resources, and we have another valuable space for workshops and meetings. Mercy Campus thanks the College Executive for their assistance in facilitating this upgrade, and special thanks to Mr Troy Rivett, Ms Libby Fethers and Mrs Amanda Corponi for their work in designing and furnishing the space.

Head of Mercy Campus
CALL TO FAMILIES - HOSTING CHINESE EXCHANGE STUDENTS
We are looking for some St Joseph’s College families to host our Chinese exchange students from Dali for a week from August 10 to 17 this year.
The students will attend school while they are here and be taken to various tourist spots around the district, as the aim of the exchange is for them to experience Australian culture and school. This invitation is open to all St Joseph’s College families, regardless of student year level.
Hosting an exchange student is a great way to get to know about another culture. Please contact Dr Tony Finn or Mrs Amanda Morrison if you can help.

HUMAN POWERED VEHICLE PROGRAM - TRAINING SESSION AT MILDURA KART CLUB
With only four weeks left until our second Human Powered Race in Adelaide, students have been eager to showcase their skills at the Kart Track. Our weekly cardio workout at the gym has paid off well. Track sessions normally go for three hours with students in and out of the cars every 10 minutes, enabling them to hone their pit changeovers and teamwork. In semester 2, we will focus on refining the technical components of the vehicles and developing the presentations for the Energy Breakthrough in Maryborough.
