During week 5 the Life Education Van visited Guyra Central School and students in Early Stage 1, Stage 1, 2 and 3 all had the opportunity to participate in the program. The Life Education Van delivers essential curriculum based programs, empowering students to make safe and healthy lifestyle choices now and into their adult life using tactile and multi-sensory activities which capture students imagination.
During Stage 1 Purples session in the Life Education Unit, students took part in the READY STEADY GO Unit and discovered the benefits of healthy eating, physical activity and how their bodies react in different situations along with strategies to stay safe. Students were able to learn and understand about healthy lifestyle choices through animated stories , group activities which included discussions, problem solving activities and games which were delivered by Healthy Harold and his friends.
