From the Head of Primary

From Miss Claire Dalziel

As we near the end of the year, we are full of mixed emotions, excited about what is to come, but sad to be leaving what we’ve just finished. It is with this in mind that we need to remain true to ourselves. Our own feelings and emotions are valid and varied. The focus for the Week in Week 9 will be Authenticity: Being honest and true to myself. We will celebrate many things, award students for different achievements and reflect on the year. It is important to remain true to who we are as individuals, wonderful and uniquely created by God.

Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Farewell

It is with great sadness that we say farewell to Mrs Lyn Hoy as she retires at the conclusion of this year. Lyn has been an integral member of staff for the last 16 years and has indeed made an incredible contribution towards the growth and development of many children in our Primary School. Lyn has taught across the grades, ever passionate about the improvement of children and celebrating their success at every stage along the way. As a long standing member of the Primary Team, Lyn has been integral in ensuring the on-going success of our School. Mrs Hoy will be greatly missed by her colleagues and the children alike. We wish Lyn absolute happiness as she spends more time with her family, travels and pursues her many hobbies. Good Luck Mrs Hoy in the next wonderful phase of your life.

This term Mrs Holly Goodman resigned from her learning support position. Whilst Holly remains absolutely passionate about education and will return to us in time, it was Holly’s desire to spend more time with her own family. We wish Holly all the very best and will no doubt see her around and about as a causal teacher.
