BOOK WEEK:

https://cbca.org.au/cbca-book-week

From Monday 20th to Friday 24th August, our school will be celebrating Book Week. The CBCA (Children’s Book Council of Australia) created Book Week to bring libraries, books, and young people together, and every year MSC Library celebrates this week, along with the Nation, by putting on activities to celebrate reading and readers. This year, we are very excited that the School Leadership Team is running most of the Book Week activities, including a dress-up day on Friday 24th. Students and staff can come to school dressed as their favourite book character. This might be a character from a fairy-tale, such as Rapunzel or Hansel and Gretel, a character from an Anime, possibly Harry Potter, or a famous soccer player. There will be an assembly that Friday (24th) for students to parade their costumes: this is an out of school uniform day for dressing up. Prizes will be up for grabs! Get excited and start thinking about costume ideas.

It will be great to see as many students and staff as possible embracing Book Week by participating in all the activities and enjoying their reading time.
