Principal's Report

Principal's Report:

On the last day of Term 2, we held a whole school assembly in Westside. Once again it was a successful event showcasing the talents of our college.

Professional Learning

I would like to thank parents for their support of our Professional Learning program, held on Tuesday the 7th of August. It was a very productive day, and will see improvements in student outcomes going forward. We have another professional learning day towards the end of November. Further details will be supplied closer to the date.

Japanese Exchange

Our Japanese visitors arrived at the Mooroopna Pizzeria on Friday the 27th of July, for a five day visit. Our guests treated us to a rendition of 'Waltzing Matilda', and two traditional Japanese songs before departing for the weekend with their host families. Over the weekend, many visited the Kyabram Fauna Park, some went to Echuca, and also to various sporting events with their hosts. On Monday and Tuesday, the students accompanied their hosts to class. After an early morning breakfast on Wednesday, our guests departed for Tullamarine airport.  They flew to Sydney for a one day visit before flying home overnight on Thursday. A special thank you to our host families for their support of this program. We are hoping to visit Japan for a third time next year. More information to follow in later Newsletters.
