Literacy

Through lockdown we got students to read as if they were part of a Book Club.

Each day students were asked to take on a different role from our Literacy Circle work.

We asked that students answer in full sentences and really justify their answers using evidence from the book!

We gave students the option to go onto Storybox if they did not have a book at home.

Students can continue to access storybox.

In Spanish we have been looking at various Latin Recipes such as 'Salsa'.

Numeracy

In the last few weeks of this term we are revisiting fractions. We started a few weeks back looking at fractions on a fraction wall, followed by equivalent fractions and then addition/subtraction of fractions with the same and different denominators.

Students are at different stages of their journey of fractions.

If you wish to help at home you can do so in many different ways such as doubling a recipe.

In addition, we have been working on creating art work through tessellations. Here is a sneak peak. We are looking forward to their final product.

Buddies

It was good to come back to school and spend times with our buddies. Our 4/5/6s enjoy drawing pictures and reading to their buddy every week.

Clubs

Students have enjoyed taking part in the various clubs on offer. We will continue to do this in Term 3. A timetable will be sent out  soon with what is on offer.

We will continue next term and a timetable will be sent start of Term 3.
