Echuca-Moama Bridge Project - May Update

What we’re doing and when

Stage 3

Works on Stage 3 are progressing well. In May, we'll start building the main span of the bridge over the Murray River.

We'll also continue:

  • pouring concrete to build the new bridge decks
  • excavating soil and laying drainage pipes
  • building the shared use path in Echuca
  • delivering materials and equipment to our work sites.

Stage 4

In Moama, we'll start building the new Meninya Street intersection in the Moama Lions Park and relocating a vintage Campbell gas engine from the Moama Lions Park to the Rotary Park in Echuca.

We’ll also continue:

  • relocating underground services
  • installing new stormwater drainage pipes between Boundary Road and Francis Street
  • upgrading access to the Moama Marketplace loading dock
  • widening the intersection of Cobb Highway and Perricoota Road, as well as next to the Moama Lions Park.

Local access changes in Moama

So we can safely build the new bridge and connections into Moama, all public access to Boundary Road will remain closed.

We've also temporarily relocated the pedestrian refuges on Meninya Street, Cobb Highway and Perricoota Road to complete these works. Cyclists and pedestrians will be able to access the Moama Marketplace and Cemetery Road via the signposted paths on Boundary Road.

Find out more information about traffic changes.

Planning for Presentation Assembly

Last December we sent out a survey link to get parent feedback about the format of our 2020 Presentation Assembly. We’d greatly appreciate if you could take a few moments to fill in the feedback form if you haven't already done so. This will help us to plan for the Presentation Assembly later this year.   https://forms.gle/oQFuRnk1AvCSDctw5
