National Simultaneous Storytime
On Wednesday 19 May all of our Primary students ventured to the hall to be part of the annual National Simultaneous Storytime. This year we were able to view Astronaut Shannon Walker reading the book “Give Me Space” by Phillip Bunting from the international space station. The students, teachers and attending parents enjoyed this very different experience.
Book Club
Scholastics Book Club has arrived! One of the members of the Resource Centre Committee has stamped the date the orders needed to be entered into the LOOP app.
Final date for orders is Thursday the 27th of May, 2021.
As this newsletter goes to print all book club Catalogues have been delivered to classrooms by members of the Resource Centre committee for distribution to students.
Premier's Reading Challenge
There has been a lot of interest from students wanting to sign up for the Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) this year which has been fantastic. Remember this is not a competition but rather a challenge for each student to read more often and more widely. The aim is to develop a love of reading for leisure and pleasure. If your child/ren have participated in the program previously you can use the same username and password you used previously. If your child/ren are new to the challenge please contact Mrs Price and she will create an account for them.
If you have any questions please email our PRC coordinator Mrs Price.
The Challenge begins March 1 and concludes August 20. Please see the website for moredetails:https://online.det.nsw.edu.au/prc/home.html
