Green Team

Precious Plastics @ Primary School

Last week some of our Green Team volunteers from Year 7 went back to their old primary school, Northcote, to enlist the year 5 and 6 students in our collection of precious plastics.

The primary school students were very inquisitive and loved the presentation from their former school mates. Our year 7s were very professional, engaging and knowledgeable.

The collection of Type 2 and 4 plastic bottles and lids will take place over the rest of term 2 and then the Green Team will use the plastics to make products that can be sold to raise funds for future Green Team initiatives. Future collections in other local primary schools will hopefully take place next semester!
