Fine performances from VCE Music and Drama 

VCE assessment takes on many forms, last week our VCE Music Performance and VCE Drama students completed their performance SACs. The theatre and hall were bustling with activity on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with family and friends creating enthusiastic audiences. Congratulations to all the performers on the culmination of months of hard work and dedication.  

‘Up in Lights – VCE Drama’. 

The Unit 1 and Unit 3 Drama students performed our ensemble performances this week. Taking the prompt of ‘Pandemic’ each of the groups created a performance about a different outbreak, The Black Death, The Spanish Flu and Covid-19. We had a great time these last few weeks, collaborating on scripts and in rehearsals, and creating performances that were very fun to perform.   

Throughout this process we learnt performance and expressive skills and how to apply dramatic elements and production areas to enhance our performance. We had a great time working together in a group, collating our ideas, and were able to create dynamic characters and interesting storylines. It was a great experience and definitely something to look forward to if you are considering Drama in VCE.
