Hairspray The Musical
ITS SHOW TIME!
Warrnambool College is about to hit the Lighthouse Theatre taking on the Tony Award-winning musical ‘HAIRSPRAY’ which continues to be one of the most widely produced musicals today. Not only because of its wit and charm, but also because of the beautiful message of acceptance and progress that it portrays.
Over 50 students who form the cast, band and crew have taken the show by its dance shoes and shimmied the show to life over countless hours since March.
This year the school welcomed back ex-students Aaron Body and Amelie Gleeson in the roles of Vocal Director and Choreography, who with seasoned Director and Musical Director Kerry Ziegeler and Erin Toulmin, have brought the script and score to life – with all its hair height and humour.
There will be three shows from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th August and 300 primary school students will attend a matinee Thursday and some lucky Warrnambool College Year 7 students will be there during the day Friday.
The whole school community is encouraged to come sing and dance with the ‘Nicest Kids in Town’ hopefully finding that ‘You Can’t Stop the Beat’ and will want to ‘Run and Tell That’ to all your family and friends.
Tickets on sale now through the Lighthouse Theatre.
